Argentina was touted to win the game, but little did they know they will be pushed by Netherlands up to penalty shot out.  Argentina went ahead to score their first goal in the 35th minute of the game. In terms of ball possession, the game was balanced but slightly in favor of the Netherlands team. Argentina had 14 shots on goal of which 5 were on target, another 5 were off-target and 4 shots were blocked.

The Argentines played an attacking game and in the 73rd minute managed to score their second goal through a penalty by their super striker Leone Messi. After that goal Argentina were contended and assumed that they will win. The Netherland team put up a spirited attack and on the 83rd minute managed to score through Wout Weghorst.

The goal by the Netherlands gave them hope that all was not lost, and they continued their attack with greater vengeance. Like all football dramas Netherlands managed to score a goal in the last minute of added time to force a tie with the Argentines. With the tie, the teams played the extra time of 30 minutes unfortunately the tie wasn't broken and therefore post-match penalties was to decide the winner and Argentina managed to triumph over Netherlands. Thanks to the wonderful saves by their goalkeeper. Watch the video above to see how the tie was broken.
